Iran’s Airplane Arrives in KSA to Transport Evacuees From Sudan

JEDDAH: An Iranian plane has landed at the King Abdullah Air Base to shift 65 evacuees from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) back to Iran, Arab media reported on Saturday.

The people rescued, including citizens from Iran and others of different countries, have arrived in Jeddah from the African country on board a Saudi vessel.

The aeroplane is scheduled to transport the Iranians to Iran following they safely disembarked in Saudi Arabia.

Officials said on Saturday that the KSA had carried out the biggest evacuation from crisis-hit Sudan since the start of its operations when a vessel carrying 20 Saudi and 1,866 citizens of other nations arrived in Jeddah.

The new arrivals brought the number of evacuees since the start of the KSA’s mission to more than 4,879 people, made up of 139 Saudi and 4,738 nationals of other nations.
