Earlier, Iranian Minister for Foreign Affairs Hossein Amir-Abdollahian met with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s (KSA) Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman in Jeddah, Arab media reported on Friday.

The two leaders discussed bilateral ties and also explored future opportunities for cooperation between the two nations. They also discussed global and regional developments during the meeting.

Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian termed his talks with his Saudi counterpart as “fruitful.” Recognizing the pivotal roles both nations play in the region, Amir-Abdollahian stressed their determination to expand relations across all fields.

Hossein Amir-Abdollahian on Thursday confirmed that President Raisi will visit Saudi Arabia anytime soon. Saudi Arabian Foreign Minister Prince Faisal, bin Farhan, said that Saudi Arabia hopes to see the Iranian President’s visit to the Kingdom following an invitation from King Salman bin Abdulaziz.

The anticipation of the Iranian President’s upcoming visit symbolizes a significant stride forward in Saudi-Iran relations, reflecting the evolving diplomatic landscape in the Gulf and echoing the growing sentiment of cooperation and understanding.
