Iranian Consul Optimistic China Window to Foster Pakistan-Iran People-to-People Ties

PESHAWAR: The Iranian Consul General in Peshawar, Ali Banafshekhah, emphasized the potential role of the China Window cultural center in promoting people-to-people relations between Pakistan and Iran, in addition to strengthening Pak-China friendship.

During his visit to China Window, a center dedicated to the promotion of Chinese culture and information in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Banafshekhah toured various sections of the facility, signed the Friendship Wall, and shared his remarks in the Guests Book. Highlighting the strong friendly relations between Pakistan and China, as well as the cordial brotherly relations between Iran and Pakistan, Banafshekhah expressed his belief that increased exchange of delegations between the two countries would further strengthen people-to-people ties.

China Window and Khana-e-Farhang Iran Collaboration

He suggested that both China Window and Khana-e-Farhang Iran could collaborate effectively in promoting the historical relations and cultures of the three countries. Banafshekhah mentioned his efforts to arrange visits of Iranian delegations to Pakistan, while encouraging people from Peshawar to visit Iran, their brotherly country.

He commended the establishment of China Window as a welcoming decision that would facilitate information sharing among people regarding the socio-economic benefits of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) in Pakistan. During the visit, Amjad Aziz Malik, the Head of China Window, presented a shield to the Iranian consul general to mark the completion of 10 years of the CPEC project.
