Iranian and Chinese Defense Universities Explore Enhanced Cooperation

TEHRAN: The national defense universities of Iran and China have emphasized the importance of bolstering defense diplomacy and academic collaboration during a meeting held in Tehran.

A delegation from China’s National University of Defense Technology (NUDT), led by Tai Jinsong, visited the Supreme National Defense University (SNDU) of Iran, where discussions were held with the deputy president of SNDU, Khosro Bolhassani.

The meeting provided an opportunity for the Chinese delegation to familiarize themselves with the SNDU’s activities in education, research, and international student enrollment.

Iranian and Chinese Defense Universities Cooperation

Bolhassani advocated for the expansion of collaborative efforts between Iran and China, highlighting the significance of advancing bilateral relations, particularly in the academic sphere. He specifically mentioned the initiation of providing foreign students with Ph.D. courses at the Iranian university and expressed optimism about the enrollment of Chinese students in these programs.

In response, the head of the Chinese delegation acknowledged the crucial role of the SNDU in Iran’s defense industry and conveyed their readiness to facilitate and enhance academic cooperation between the two defense universities.
