Iranian Ambassador Condoles with Pakistani Nation Over Terrorist Attack

ISLAMABAD: Iranian Ambassador to Pakistan Reza Amiri Moghadam on Sunday extended his condolences to the people of Pakistan and the families who lost their loved ones in the terrorist attack on the security forces post in Mir Ali, North Waziristan.

In a message, the envoy expressed his deep sorrow and said that he was deeply dejected to see 7 young Pakistani brothers in the security forces of Pakistan embrace martyrdom in a terrorist attack while protecting their motherland in the Holy month of Ramazan.

The diplomat said that always believed that Pakistani martyrs are also Iran’s martyrs.” My condolences to the people, government of Pakistan and the families who lost their loved ones, he added.

Terrorist Attack in North Waziristan

In the early hours of 16 March, a group of 6 terrorists attacked a security forces’ post in the general area of Mir Ali.

The troops foiled the initial attempt of the attack. Then the terrorists rammed an explosive-laden vehicle into the post, followed by several suicide bombing attacks, which resulted in the collapse of a portion of a building, leading to the martyrdom of 5 soldiers.

The Shuhada included Havildar, Naik Khurshid, Sepoy Nasir, Sepoy Raja, and Sepoy Sajjad.

During the conduct of the ensuing clearance operation, forces led by Lieutenant Colonel Kashif, effectively engaged and sent to hell all 6 terrorists.

However, during an intense exchange of fire, leading his troops from the front, Lieutenant Colonel Syed Kashif Ali and Captain Muhammad Ahmed Badar fought gallantly and embraced Shahadat.
