ISLAMABAD: An Iranian MP has disclosed that as part of a military agreement, Iran will receive a number of Russian Sukhoi Su-35 fighter jets by March. Under the agreement, Iran will also be delivering helicopters, defense systems, and missiles.
According to Iran’s Tasnim news agency, Shahriyar Heydari, who is a member of Iran’s parliamentary body for foreign policy and national security member, revealed the timing of the fighter jets’ delivery without specifying the number of the aircraft.

Heydari simply stated that while most of the weaponry will reach Iran soon; he said that the fighter jets would arrive by Iran’s new year, which falls on 21 March.
Since the start of the Ukraine conflict, Iran and Russia have deepened their cooperation and Tehran has delivered military drones to Moscow for its war. The supply of the drones has resulted in more stringent sanctions from the US and European Union.
