QUETTA: Abu-al-Hasan Mari, the Director General Khana-e-Farhang Iran Quetta, said that Iran is ready to invest in livestock, domestic industry, and other sectors in Balochistan to promote the economic activities and meet the province’s energy needs.
He said this in a meeting with a group from the Balochistan International Think Tank, led by Chairman Owais Jadoon, who visited him in his office.
Senior journalist Shehzada Zulfiqar, former parliamentarians Dr. Ishaq Baloch, Abdul Rahim Ziaratwal, Abdul Qayyum Baidar, and Abdul Qaharudan were also part of the delegation.
Abu-al-Hasan Mari said that Iran is prepared to invest in livestock, domestic industry, and other sectors to address economic problems and meet the energy needs of Balochistan as both nations enjoy centuries-old brotherly and cultural ties.
Balochistan a Peaceful Province
He said, “The people of Balochistan are near the heart of Iran.” The DG, who described Balochistan as a peaceful province, regretted that Balochistan was misrepresented in the foreign media. It emphasizes reports of target killing, kidnapping for ransom, and bomb explosions to paint Balochistan as a violent area.
Former president Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists and Senior Journalist Shehzada Zulfikar highlighted the need to pay attention to the livestock sector of Baluchistan. “If due attention is paid to the livestock sector of the province, a good amount of foreign exchange could be earned.”
Before this, BITT Chairman Owais Jadoon noted that Iran was the first nation to recognize Pakistan and that its citizens appreciated their Iranian brother’s cordial action. He stated that solid trade ties and tighter ties between Pakistan and Iran were priorities for both populations.
