TEHRAN: Striding towards advancing space exploration capabilities, Iran achieved a successful launch of its latest biological capsule using the domestically-built Salman launcher on Wednesday morning. This milestone is a crucial step in realizing Iran’s ambitious plan to send humans into space.
The bio-space capsule ascended to a height of 130 km from the Earth’s surface, aiming to develop and acquire the essential technologies necessary for human space missions. Commissioned by the Iran Space Agency and meticulously crafted by the Aerospace Research Institute of the Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology, the 500 kg capsule represents a noteworthy achievement in Iran’s space program.
The Salman launcher, responsible for this successful mission, is a product of the Aerospace Industries Organization (AIO) within Iran’s defense ministry. The launch not only marks a technological feat for Iran but also signifies the country’s commitment to advancing its capabilities in the field of space exploration.
