TEHRAN, Iran: Iran’s foreign ministry spokesperson, Nasser Kanaani, has declared Iran’s willingness to engage in fresh talks regarding its nuclear programme.

Despite regional tensions, Kanaani emphasized that the diplomatic environment for new discussions still exists.

Iran insists that any talks must adhere to its red lines, indicating a commitment to certain parameters in the negotiation process.

Talks on Iran’s nuclear program had been overshadowed by the Israel-Hamas war, leading to a temporary pause in diplomatic efforts.

Iran and the United States have engaged in indirect talks since April 2021 to revive the nuclear deal abandoned by the Trump administration in 2018.
