TEHRAN: The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) and Iran have agreed to cooperate in several sectors, including regional security and development, Iran’s Foreign Minister said on Friday. According to Iranian media, the two sides agreed during a meeting between Iranian Foreign Minister Amir-Abdollahian and Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman on Friday. Iran’s media stated that fruitful talks were held between Amir-Abdollahian and Saudi Crown Prince.
Iranian FM wrote in a post on his social media account following the meeting with the Saudi Crown Prince that the meeting in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia lasted for 90 minutes. He posted, “An open, fruitful, transparent, and productive talks based on neighborhood policy,”.
He further wrote, “We agree on security and development for all in the region,”. According to the Iranian foreign ministry, Amir-Abdollahian said, ” Iran and Saudi Arabia can achieve more prosperity and growth for the region by developing complete cooperation in the economic, political, transit, commercial, science, technology, and cultural fields.”
Iranian Minister stressed, “Today we have a historical responsibility.” He stated the way to the region’s success is to enhance cooperation, dialogue and increase development-oriented cooperation.
