TEHRAN: Iran has ruled out any negotiations with the United States and expressed its readiness to continue the war in the Middle East.

Speaking to state television, a senior advisor to the late Supreme Leader, said on Wednesday that Tehran has no intention of engaging in talks with Washington and is prepared to “continue the war” for as long as necessary.

He asserted that Iran remains resolute in its position and will not bow to external pressure amid escalating regional tensions.

Mohammad Mokhber said Iran had “no trust in the Americans and we have no basis for any negotiations with them”.

Iran’s Foreign Minister, Abbas Araghchi, has accused US President Donald Trump of betraying both the cause of diplomacy and the American people who elected him, saying recent actions have undermined trust and international negotiations.

“When complex nuclear negotiations are treated like a real estate transaction, and when big lies cloud realities, unrealistic expectations can never be met,” Araghchi said in a post on X.

Meanwhile, the Israel Defence Forces says that although its forces have destroyed dozens of Iranian missile launchers posing direct threats to the Israeli front, Tehran still retains a significant capacity to launch missiles at Israel.

In a televised briefing, military spokesman Brigadier General Effie Defrin claimed that the campaign continues to target missile launchers and related infrastructure inside Iran, including facilities used for the storage, production, and launch of ballistic missiles in western regions such as Isfahan.

“We will continue to strike the missile launchers and reduce the firing, but the regime still has significant capacity, and I would like to remind you that our defence is not impenetrable.”

Iran’s retaliatory offensive

Qatar’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Majed Al-Ansari, has strongly condemned recent Iranian attacks on Qatari territory, calling them “unacceptable and cannot be justified, regardless of the target,” according to TRT.

He added that Iran’s strikes “are not limited to military installations or American interests but rather extend across the entire Qatari territory.”

Saudi Arabia intercepts drone attack on major refinery

Saudi Arabia’s defence ministry reported that it successfully intercepted a drone targeting the country’s massive Ras Tanura refinery along the Gulf coast.

The ministry stated that “initial estimates indicate the attack was carried out by a drone and caused no damage,” posting the update on X.

This follows an earlier strike on the refinery complex earlier this week.

Kuwait detects incoming missiles

Kuwait’s military announced it had detected multiple inbound projectiles and was actively working to intercept them, as Iran’s campaign against Gulf states enters its fifth day.

“The armed forces are currently dealing with a wave of missiles and drones in the airspace of the State of Kuwait and are carrying out missions to confront and intercept them,” the military said.
