- Israel has carried out a fresh strike on Iran: Iranian media
ISLAMABAD: Iran’s Red Crescent said an Israeli strike hit near its building in northern Tehran on Monday, as war between Iran and Israel raged for the 11th day.
AFP cited he emergency service as saying, “New attack around the Red Crescent… building,”.
The emergency service also posted a video of smoke rising from the site of the attack, AFP reported.
AFP had earlier reported hearing loud explosions in the north of the Iranian capital.
“A fresh strike”
AFP cited Iranian media as saying that Israel carried out a fresh strike on Iran’s underground Fordo nuclear site south of Tehran.
“The aggressor attacked the Fordo nuclear site again,” AFP cited Tasnim news agency. The official said there was no danger to residents in the area, Al Jazeera reported.
The Israeli military claimed Monday it was striking targets in Tehran on the 11th day of the Iran-Israel war, according to AFP.
Iran says more than 400 people have been killed and at least 3,056 others wounded since Israel launched its attack on June 13. In Israel, at least 24 people have been killed in Iranian strikes, according to Al Jazeera.
Earlier, US President Donald Trump said US warplanes used “bunker buster” bombs to target sites in Fordo, Isfahan and Natanz, boasting the strikes had “obliterated” Iran’s nuclear capabilities.
