RIYADH: Iran’s Consul General in Jeddah Hassan Zarnegar praised the efforts of Saudi Arabia and the facilities provided to the Iranian Hajj pilgrims during their departure through Arar Airport and the Jadidat Arar border crossing.
He emphasised that the smooth procedures he witnessed reflect the Kingdom and its leadership’s commitment to serving pilgrims, highlighting the consistent care extended to pilgrims from around the world, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Monday.
He stated, “The streamlined procedures from the moment pilgrims disembarked the aircraft, to the swift passport processing, and the well-organised transfer to the border crossing by bus, demonstrate efficiency in managing pilgrim affairs,” adding that the services provided to Iranian pilgrims confirm the Kingdom’s steadfast approach in respecting nations.
He also noted that the relationship between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Islamic Republic of Iran is rooted in shared religious values and neighbourly ties, adding that the care shown to Iranian pilgrims is a natural reflection of this spirit of brotherhood.
On behalf of himself and the Iranian ambassador to the Kingdom, he expressed sincere gratitude and appreciation to the Saudi leadership for the attention and support provided to Iranian pilgrims as part of a well-coordinated and comprehensive system.
