ABU DHABI: President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Sheikh Mohamed has received an official invitation to visit Iran from the country’s leader, Ebrahim Raisi. The invitation was delivered to Khalifa Al Marar, UAE Minister of State, by Reza Amiri, Iran’s Ambassador to the UAE, during a meeting at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Abu Dhabi.
This invitation comes after Sheikh Mohamed held talks with Iran’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hossein Amirabdollahian, in the UAE capital in June, aiming to enhance ties between the two nations. During their discussions at Al Shati Palace, both sides emphasized the significance of building on positive developments to foster regional stability and prosperity.
Relations Between UAE and Iran
Previously, in March, Sheikh Mohamed met with Ali Shamkhani, secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, further signaling efforts to address mutual concerns and promote peace and cooperation in the region.
With this latest invitation, UAE-Iran relations are set to enter a new chapter, potentially opening avenues for greater cooperation and understanding between the two neighboring nations. As both countries look to strengthen diplomatic ties, the visit of UAE President Sheikh Mohamed to Iran could pave the way for enhanced regional collaboration and mutual benefit.
