Iran Informed US of ‘Limited’ Attack Plan on Israel, Says Foreign Minister

TEHRAN: Iran’s Foreign Minister, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian while addressing to foreign ambassadors in Tehran, claimed that Iran had informed the United States that its retaliatory attack against Israel would be limited and solely for self-defense purposes.

Hossein Amir-Abdollahian said that Iran does not intend to escalate the conflict in the region.

Furthermore, Iran has conveyed to the US that it will target American bases if Iran comes under attack.

Approximately 72 hours before the operation, Iran informed its neighboring countries and regional nations that its response, as part of legitimate defense, was inevitable and resolute, he told to foreign ambassadors.

Iran reaffirmed that the security of neighboring countries remains a top priority.
