TEHRAN: Iran swiftly rejected accusations from the United States and Britain alleging its support for militant groups responsible for a drone strike in Jordan that claimed the lives of three US military personnel.
The official IRNA news agency reported on Monday that Tehran’s foreign ministry spokesman, Nasser Kanaani, dismissed the claims as politically motivated, aimed at distorting the realities of the region.
“These claims are made with specific political goals to reverse the realities of the region,” stated Kanaani, emphasizing Iran’s denial of any involvement in the drone strike. Tensions rise as the US and Britain point fingers at Iran, further complicating the geopolitical landscape.
The swift response from Iran underscores the heightened sensitivity surrounding regional accusations, reflecting the ongoing complexities in international relations.
