SIALKOT: Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) on Thursday organized a cake-cutting ceremony at Iqbal Manzil, the birthplace of the poet of the east, on the eve of the 146th birthday of Dr. Allama Muhammad Iqbal.
Shehzada Ibne Iqbal Syed, Chairman SCCI’s Committee on Farogh-e-Iqbaliyat, Muhammad Shehbaz Saim, Mian Naeem Javed, Chairman SCCI Departmental Committee on Risk Management former President SCCI and Khawar Anwar Khawaja, former Chairman Sialkot International Airport Limited (SIAL), jointly cut the birthday cake of Dr. Allama Iqbal.
Tajjamal Hussain, PRO SCCI, Soofi Abdul Jalil, Chacha-e- Cricket, Abdul Shakoor Mirza, Execuitive Director Community Development, and senior journalists, teachers, and students attended the ceremony.
Tribute to Allama Iqbal
Shehzada Ibne Iqbal Syed paid homage to the great poet and philosopher Allama Iqbal.
Addressing to participants, SCCI Departmental Committee on Risk Management Muhammad Shehbaz Saim said that teachings of Iqbal were like a beacon to maintain peace, tolerance, and stability in the society.
Former President SCCI Mian Naeem Javed said that the Allama Muhammad Iqbal was a visionary personality who conceived the idea of a separate homeland for the Muslims of the Indian Subcontinent that was ultimately materialized in the shape of Pakistan.
He said that it must be understood that Iqbal’s teachings greatly help to understand Islam.
