GENEVA: The International Baccalaureate (IB) has allowed its students to use the text generated by the ChatGPT chatbot in essays.
The Geneva-based global education institution announced this news when an Open AI product, the ChatGPT chatbot, is banned globally in schools.
The International Baccalaureate said that students would not be banned from using the ChatGPT chatbot as long as they credit the content source and do not present the text as their own work.
ChatGPT as part of routine life
This is the time when the AI tool ChatGPT should be accepted as part of routine life, like the other apps, spellcheckers and websites, calculators, and translation software.
The AI-powered chatbot product, ChatGPT, was launched in November 2022. According to OpenAI’s official website, the tool interacts conversationally, and the dialogue format makes it possible for the ChatGPT chatbot to answer follow-up questions.
