Interim Govt Makes Major Reshuffle in Bureaucracy

ISLAMABAD: The caretaker government on Friday ordered a major shuffle in the bureaucracy by transferring and posting top officials.

According to a notification issued by the Cabinet Division, Kamran Ali Afzal has been posted as Secretary of the Cabinet Division, while Hasan Nasir Jamy has been made Secretary Information Technology and Telecommunication Division.

Dr Shahzad Khan Bangash is posted as Secretary Housing and Syed Asif Hayder Shah as Secretary Climate Change.

Humaira Ahmed has been made Secretary Culture, Syed Ali Murtaza is posted as Secretary Water Resources and Dawood Muhammad Bareach has been appointed as Chief Secretary Azad Kashmir Gilgit-Baltistan.

Meanwhile, Dr Muhammad Fakhr Alam Irfan is posted as Sindh Chief Secretary and Ali Reza Bhutta as Secretary, Science and Technology Division.

Allah Dino Khawaja has been appointed as Secretary Human Rights, Abdul Ghufran Memon is posted as Secretary, Maritime Affairs, while Dr. Irum Anjum Khan has been made Additional Auditor General.

Abdullah Khan Sumbal has been appointed as Additional Secretary in the interior ministry, Sajid Baloch is posted as Special Secretary Cabinet Division, Momin Agha as Additional Secretary of Petroleum Division and Captain (r) Muhammad Mehmood is transferred and posted as Additional Secretary Food Security.

Captain (Retd) Muhammad Anwarul Haq has been appointed as the new chief commissioner of Islamabad while Shakeel Qadir Khan has been made as Chief Secretary, Balochistan

Sarah Saeed is posted as Special Secretary, Commerce Division, Mustafa Jamal Kazi is made Director General, Immigration.

Many other senior bureaucrats have also been transferred and directed to report Cabinet Division.
