In India’s illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, third inter-faith conference was organized in Mirgund, Budgam, on the occasion of Eid Milad-ul-Nabi.
The conference was organized under the auspices of Anjuman Sharie Shia, which was attended by religious leaders and sects. Members of All Parties Hurriyat Conference and Chairman of Anjuman Sharie Shian Agha Syed Hassan Al Moosvi Al-Safvi presided over the meeting.
At the end of the conference, a unanimous resolution was approved, in which it was said that the conference will promote the values of humanity, brotherhood and tolerance of the people in the Kashmir valley by making the human life of Hazrat Muhammad (SAW) be an example.
The resolution, condemning the continued illegal detention of Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, demanded his immediate release. It also demanded the release of all arrested scholars.
Among others, Dr. Mehdi Alizada Moosvi, Maulana Syed Shamsur Rehman, Maulana Khursheed Ahmed Qanoongo, Dr Qadir Jilani, lawyer Muntazer Mehdi Al Moosvi, Christian pastors Paul and John Phillips, Harbans Singh from Gurudwara Pariband Kashmir Committee, Mehit Bhan, Dr Muhammad Maroof Shah. , Prof. Muhammad Zaman Azarda and Prof. Arshad Aziz joined while Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, Allama Amin Shaheedi, chairman of Save Sharada Committee Ravinder Pandita and famous Indian writer Sudhindra Kulkarni expressed their views through a video message.
