KARACHI: To mark youth empowerment and skill development, Indus Hospital and Health Network (IHHN), has successfully concluded another phase of the ‘Get Into Healthcare’ programme.
A press release on Tuesday said the initiative was completed in collaboration with Prince’s Trust International, the Chanan Development Association (CDA), and the Lord Sarfraz Foundation (LSF).
The flagship program, designed to bridge the distance between education and employment, has once again shown its impact by transforming the lives of young individuals seeking to build careers in the healthcare sector.
The event held in Karachi marked the culmination of the latest phase of the programme. Keynote speakers from IHHN, Prince’s Trust International and CDA expressed their views on programme’s success, highlighting the significant strides made towards reducing unemployment and skill mismatch in Pakistan.
Dr. Zafar Zaidi, CEO of Indus Hospital & Health Network said collaborations are essential in the health sector to make students receive first-rate skill development and international perspectives.
Will Straw, CEO of Prince’s Trust International, praised the positive impac tof the Get Into Healthcare on young people.
He said 90 percent of young people on the programme now feel that they have improved skills, needed to prosper in the healthcare sector. He hoped that their partnership with Indus Hospital and Health Network will continue to inspire many more young people.
Shahzad Khan, the Executive Director of Chanan Development Association, lauded the programme by saying, they are proud of their collaborations with IHHN and Prince’s Trust International for the ‘Get into Healthcare’ program.
He said soft skills are vital for fostering confidence in young people’s careers and personal growth.
