Indonesian Students, Embassy Staff Celebrate Eidul Fitr with Traditional Festivities in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: The Indonesian embassy in Islamabad came alive with the vibrant sounds of traditional Indonesian music and dance as Indonesian students and embassy staff members gathered to celebrate Eidul Fitr. The event was marked by the offering of Eid prayers, exchange of Eid greetings, and various cultural activities.

Around 326 students, including 126 female and 200 male students, and 80 embassy staff members participated in the Eid celebrations event.

The students and embassy staff members gathered at the embassy’s auditorium, where different events were held in connection with Eid festivities. The events included music, dances, and gift distribution.

The Indonesian ambassador to Pakistan addressed the participants and highlighted the importance of the event in promoting cultural exchange and strengthening bonds between the two countries. He expressed his appreciation for the efforts of the students and embassy staff members in organizing the event.

The students then performed traditional Indonesian dances, showcasing the rich cultural heritage of Indonesia. The participants were dressed in colourful traditional attire, adding to the vibrant and festive atmosphere.

After the cultural activities, the participants enjoyed a sumptuous Indonesian traditional lunch. The embassy staff members had worked tirelessly to prepare the feast, which included Indonesian delicacies such as nasi goreng, beef rendang, and sate ayam.

The Eid celebrations event at the Indonesian embassy in Islamabad was a huge success, bringing together people from different backgrounds to celebrate the joyous occasion of Eidul Fitr.

The event promoted cultural exchange, fostered friendship and harmony, and showcased the beauty of Indonesian culture.
