JAKARTA: A top trade official in Indonesia said on Tuesday that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) is his country’s strategic and priority market.
Trade volume between Saudi Arabia and Indonesia and Saudi Arabia has increased to $7 billion between January and November last year.
Indonesia Minister for Trade Zulkifli Hasan visited the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia last week, leading a delegation seeking to explore export potential with Saudi Arabia.

DG of national export development at Ministry of Trade Indonesia Didi Sumedi said that trade potential between Saudi Arabia and Indonesia is very strategic and huge.
Sumedi said that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is his country priority as it is a strategic partner with the biggest economy in the Arab world.

Improving ties with KSA would help pave the grounds for better relations with GCC nations, as Indonesia is working for a trade agreement with the bloc.
Indonesia inked a trade pact with the UAE in July 2022, expecting to enhance its Emirates-bound exports by nearly 8 % a year.
