NEW DEHLI: India has revealed its 16-member lineup for the forthcoming five-match T20I series versus Bangladesh. Among the fresh faces are Asha Sobhana and Sajana Sajeevan, selected based on their standout performances in the 2024 Women’s Premier League.
Sobhana made history as the first Indian cricketer to clinch a five-wicket haul in the WPL, while Sajeevan showcased her talent with a match-winning six on debut for Mumbai Indians. Led by captain Harmanpreet Kaur, with Smriti Mandhana as vice-captain, the squad gears up for the series starting April 28th in Sylhet.
This series holds significant importance for both teams in preparation for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024, slated to take place in Bangladesh later this year.
