ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Prime Minister Special Advisor on Human Rights, Mishal Hussain Malik, said on Monday that India is undermining the human rights of Kashmiris through its judiciary.

Speaking to a private television channel, she highlighted that the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) has been subjected to the “Jungle Law” for many decades.

Malik expressed concern that the recent verdict by the Indian Supreme Court on the special status of the IIOJK will further curtail the rights of Kashmiri residents of the region.

She noted that India has increased the deployment of military forces to suppress the legitimate rights of innocent Kashmiri people.

Malik called upon the international community and human rights organizations to take notice of Indian violations and urged them to play a role in overturning the illegal laws imposed on the people of IIOJK.
