LE BOURGET: Indian low-cost carrier IndiGo announced on Monday that it had ordered a record five hundred A320 airliners from the leading European manufacturer Airbus at the Paris Air Show.
IndiGo chief Pieter Elbers said that with a list price of 55 billion US dollars — although the closely-held actual sale rates are generally lower — the agreement is the biggest ever civil aviation order and a “historical” milestone for both companies, AFP reported.
