ISLAMABAD: Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti on Saturday said that the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) and other Indian proxy terrorist groups were operating from Afghan territory to carry out terrorist attacks in Pakistan, and urged the Taliban regime to honour its commitment not to allow its soil to be used for cross-border terrorism.
Speaking at a special session with students attending a summer camp organised by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Chief Minister Bugti said that the banned TTP, BLA and other terrorist groups are Indian intelligence agency RAW-backed proxies. He said that TTP, BLA and other terrorist groups are financially supported and trained by the Indian intelligence agency and are operating from Afghan soil.

The Chief Minister said terrorist attacks launched from Afghan territory would not weaken Pakistan’s resolve to eliminate the menace of terrorism, adding that peace would prevail in Balochistan and attempts to destabilise Pakistan would fail.
Bugti urged Afghanistan’s Taliban regime to honour its commitment not to allow Afghan soil to be used for terrorist attacks against Pakistan.
He said terrorists sought recruits, logistics and propaganda to discredit Pakistan’s security forces, but asserted that the nation stood united behind its armed forces.

While reaffirming support for dialogue with political stakeholders, Bugti ruled out negotiations with terrorist groups waging violence against the state, saying Pakistan’s future lay in becoming a peaceful and progressive country where citizens could live without fear.
Referring to a recent attack on the Mangi Dam project, Bugti said the Rs20 billion project was of vital importance for the province. He said that police personnel had been deployed to protect the pumping station. He said more than 30 police officers fought “with exceptional courage” after the site came under a terrorist attack, while a reinforcement team was ambushed on its way to assist them. A judicial commission had been established to investigate the attack and all facts would be made public, he added. He said the banned TTP terrorist group had claimed responsibility for the Mangi Dam project attack.

Paying tribute to those martyred in terrorist attacks, Bugti said civilians, police officers, soldiers and Frontier Corps personnel had all sacrificed their lives in the fight against terrorism. Every martyr was someone’s son, husband or father, he said, adding that the government and people of Balochistan are united to defeat terrorism.

He said that terrorist groups are using organised propaganda alongside violence to mislead young people. Bugti said Pakistan’s strength lay in the unity of its people and praised the armed forces for their professionalism and determination during the May 2025 conflict with India.
CM Bugti said terrorist attacks launched from Afghan territory would not deter Pakistan’s determination to eliminate terrorism. He expressed confidence that peace would prevail in Balochistan, adding that Pakistan and Balochistan were inseparable and would remain so.

Chief Minister Bugti said that terrorists are martyring civilians, police personnel, army personnel and Frontier Corps personnel, however, every conspiracy against Pakistan will fail.
Sarfraz Bugti said that terrorism and organised propaganda are being used as weapons to mislead the youth for political purposes.
