ISLAMABAD: Indian actress Tamannaah Bhatia has cleared the air around rumours linking her romantically with two cricketing giants, Virat Kohli of India and Pakistan’s former all-rounder Abdul Razzaq, calling the gossip “completely baseless” and “downright laughable.”
In an interview with Indian media, the Bollywood star addressed the social media-fuelled frenzy with her signature wit, recounting the surreal moment when a photograph with Abdul Razzaq at a 2020 jewellery event went viral.
Internet speculation quickly spiralled into reports of an alleged romance—and even a secret marriage.

“Mazaak mazaak mein Abdul Razzaq!” she laughed. “According to the internet, I was briefly married to him. I’m sorry sir—aapke do teen bachche hai (you have two or three children). I don’t even know about your life, and yet here I was, apparently your wife!”
Tamannaah didn’t stop there. She also addressed rumours of dating Virat Kohli, which surfaced after a brief professional encounter during a TV commercial shoot.
“I feel so bad because I literally met him for just one day,” she said. “Na maine unse baat ki, na unse mili hoon (I never spoke to him, never met him again).”
While she chuckled at the bizarre nature of these rumours, the Aakhri Sach actress admitted that the emotional toll hasn’t always been easy.
“It’s awkward and sometimes unsettling,” she said, adding that while she’s learned to take it in stride, it took years to detach from public perception.
“People build entire stories from a single frame. But now I just smile and move on,” she shared.
