MUMBAI: Bollywood actress Bipasha Basu has expressed serious concerns over the ongoing genocide of Palestinians in Gaza, western media reported on Monday.
According to media reports about 8,000 innocent civilians have lost their lives as a result of Israeli bombardment in Gaza, with over 3,000 of them being children.
The actress expressed her views in the social media while sharing a powerful image, showing two children beside their deceased mother amidst a backdrop of destruction.
In her post she said no war or religion can be bigger than countless innocent lives.

She called for compassion beyond religious boundaries. She stressed the urgency of showing mercy regardless of one’s faith.
Earlier Sonam Kapoor, another prominent Bollywood actress expressed solidarity with the Palestinians.
Though Bipasha and Sonam have expressed their condemnation of the Gaza genocide, many other Bollywood actors have kept a noticeable silence on the issue.
