Pakistan Army has said that Indian allegations are an attempt to divert attention from the Indian Army’s repressive use of force and gross human rights violations against innocent unarmed Kashmiris.
The unfounded statement of a high-ranking Indian Army Officer regarding Azad Jammu and Kashmir is an apt embodiment of the Indian Armed Forces’ illusionary mindset and exhibits the vivid imprint of domestic political showboating on Indian military thought, said the military on Thursday.
In a series of tweets, the DG ISPR said the erroneous remarks and groundless accusations of so-called “launch-pads” and “terrorists” are an attempt to deviate attention from the Indian Army’s oppressive use of force and gross human rights infringement against innocent unarmed Kashmiris struggling for their right of self-determination, supported by International Law & enshrined in UN Security Council Resolutions.
It said the Indian General Officer’s lofty claims and surreal intention is intellectually abusive. Pakistan’s military is a force for good and an advocate of regional peace and stability. This desire for peace, however, is matched with our competence and readiness to foil any mishap or hostility against our territory, an assertion comprehensively affirmed on numerous occasions, including recently in the Balakot incident.
In the benefit of peace for the region, the Indian military would do well to refrain from careless rhetoric and virulent communication to shore up electoral support for their political masters’ unprogressive ideology, said the DG ISPR.
