In a significant development, Pakistani forces conducted a successful operation in Rajouri, resulting in the killing of Raj Kumar Thapa, the Additional Deputy Commissioner, who was reportedly acting as a facilitator for militants with the backing of the Indian government.

Pakistan launches counter-offensive against Indian aggression
Pakistan has launched a major counter-offensive, codenamed Bunyan-un-Marsoos, in response to unprovoked Indian aggression, state broadcaster Pakistan Television reported on Saturday, citing security sources.
The operation was initiated shortly after the Director General of the Inter-Services Public Relations, Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, confirmed that three Pakistan Air Force bases had come under missile attack.

Pakistan’s Air Defence System successfully thwarts India’s missile attacks
In a late-night press briefing, Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) Director General Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry stated that the majority of the missiles fired at Pakistan Air Force (PAF) bases have been successfully intercepted by the alert air defense systems of the Pakistan Armed Forces.
The few missiles that managed to breach the defenses did not cause any damage to the PAF’s flying assets, according to initial damage assessment reports.
Lieutenant General Chaudhry expressed confidence in the effectiveness of the air defence system, highlighting that it had successfully thwarted India’s objectives.
Furthermore, he disclosed that shortly after the missile and drone attacks on Afghanistan, India launched missiles within its own territory, specifically targeting Indian Punjab. He described these actions as part of a larger, sinister plan to destabilise the region and beyond.
He also revealed that the PAF had gathered electronic signatures of all these missiles, including details on their point of origin and intended targets.
Lieutenant General Chaudhry reassured the people of Pakistan, emphasising that the armed forces remain vigilant and are successfully neutralising these acts of aggression. He criticised India for its blatant acts of aggression, attributing them to growing paranoia in the Indian mindset, which, according to General Chaudhry, intensifies with each failed attempt to undermine Pakistan’s resolve.
Earlier, he said that India had targeted the Pakistan Air Force’s Nur Khan, Murid, and Shorkot air bases, but all assets of the air force remained safe. In a major escalation of regional tensions, India has launched missile strikes targeting these bases.
He confirmed that India has not only targeted Pakistani territory but has also fired missiles into Afghanistan, raising serious concerns about regional stability. “India is pushing the entire region towards war,” he warned.
Despite the aggression, the military spokesperson assured the public that critical PAF infrastructure remains intact. “All air force assets are safe,” he stated clearly.
He further added that Pakistan is closely monitoring the situation and cautioned India to be prepared for a response. “India must now await Pakistan’s reply,” he said, signalling the possibility of military retaliation.
