SRINAGAR, Occupied Kashmir: Amidst the global recognition of the International Day for Abolition of Slavery, India’s treatment of the people in Indian illegally-occupied Jammu and Kashmir echoes the horrors of modern-day enslavement.
According to a report by the Research Section of Kashmir Media Service, while the world aims to eradicate slavery, millions of Kashmiris endure enforced servitude under Indian rule. The report highlights the appalling manifestation of human bondage in occupied Kashmir, including the egregious exploitation of Kashmiri women.
The report passionately asserts that despite Indian efforts to oppress the Kashmiri populace, their resolve remains unyielding. Kashmiris vow to defy Indian subjugation at any cost, adamantly refusing to be ensnared by extremist ideologies.
Expressing a fervent belief in the eventual liberation of occupied Kashmir from Indian dominance, the report calls upon the United Nations to intervene. It appeals to the UN’s sense of justice to champion the cause of Kashmir, urging its active involvement in resolving the enduring Kashmir conflict in alignment with the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.
