ISLAMABAD: Islamabad’s F-9 Park became the heart of Pakistan’s Independence Day celebrations, hosting a memorable event that united families, celebrated artists, and featured the country’s first-ever drone show, creating unforgettable memories last night.

The Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) administration organized an Independence Festival at F-9 Park, making it a landmark celebration in the federal capital.

The event’s highlight was Pakistan’s inaugural drone show, which captivated the audience as 500 drones illuminated the night sky, forming the Pakistani flag and other stunning patterns.

Adding to the patriotic fervor, javelin thrower Arshad Nadeem’s recent gold medal victory at the Paris Olympics was celebrated, further elevating national pride during the festivities.

The festival, with free entry for citizens, invited families to enjoy a wide range of activities, particularly designed for children. Various food stalls catered to food enthusiasts, ensuring something for everyone to savor.

The event also featured performances by prominent artists, with Ali Safina and Sofia Anjum hosting the show. Sajjad Ali’s energetic performance kept the crowd entertained, enhancing the festive atmosphere.

Security was a top priority, with a strong police presence ensuring the safety of all attendees. The festival concluded with a dazzling firework display at midnight, lighting up the sky and marking the end of the celebrations.
