Independence Day Celebrations: ‘Hues of Pakistan’ Art Exhibition Highlights Youth Talent

ISLAMABAD: The “Hues of Pakistan” art exhibition, celebrating Pakistan’s Independence Day, is currently on display at the Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA), drawing a large number of visitors.

The exhibition aims to provide a platform for young artists to showcase their talent and foster artistic innovation.

Running until August 23, the exhibition highlights the rich cultural heritage and artistic abilities of the nation’s youth. Art enthusiasts, media, and the public are invited to explore and celebrate the diverse artistic expressions featured in this vibrant showcase.

The event was inaugurated on Monday by Hasan Nasir Jamy, Secretary of the National Heritage and Culture Division. In his opening remarks, Jamy expressed his honor in inaugurating the exhibition, noting, “It is a privilege to open the ‘Hues of Pakistan; Art Competition and Exhibition for the Youth,’ organized by PNCA in celebration of Pakistan’s Independence Day.

This occasion provides a unique opportunity to recognize and celebrate the remarkable creativity of our youth while honoring our nation’s rich cultural and historical legacy. “I extend my heartfelt congratulations to all participants and hope this event marks a significant milestone in their artistic journeys,” he said.

Mariam Ahmed, Director of the Visual Arts Division (VAD) at PNCA, also shared her enthusiasm for the exhibition, stating, “We received an overwhelming response this year, with over 200 artworks submitted from across Pakistan.

The top ten winners were chosen by a panel of judges, and the Chief Guest presented shields and certificates to them.”

The top ten winners of the art competition are M. Anwar Khan, Sana Ullah, Hadia Hashmi, Haleema Aziz, Huzaila Zahid, Humna Aslam, Mishal Mahsud, Noor Fatima Qureshi, Saman Aziz Mughal, and Syeda Mahrukh. The exhibition also features works by many senior and emerging artists.
