ISLAMABAD: With two unbeaten innings, Ashvin (42), and Shreyas (29) snatched the victory from the jaws of Bangla Tigers in a nerve-jangling contest on the 4th day of the Mirpur Test here at Shere Bangla Cricket Stadium on Sunday. India swept the 2-match tie 2-0.
On the penultimate day of the Test match, India needed 100 runs to win the game, as they had six wickets in their pocket. They lost their earlier batters cheaply and were 76 for 7 in the first-morning session. Mehhay claimed the five wickets, but the 8th wicket partnership of 71 runs between Ashvin (42) not out, and Shreyas (29) not out turned the tables.
