ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) leader Fawad Chaudhry Sunday said that the incumbent government was to blame for the current state of affairs in the country.
He took to Twitter to claim that there had been a significant increase in terrorist incidents since what he termed Operation Regime Change. He said a 52 percent increase has been recorded in the terrorist incidents. He alleged that the federal government has stopped the allocation of funds to the tribal areas which he believed should have been given priority. He lamented that a lack of governance and a sinking economy were bringing more destruction to the country.
Asad Umar/Fawad
Meanwhile, Secretary General PTI, Asad Umar said that the country needs to take its own decisions instead of being dictated to by others. He also shared his experience of interacting with party workers during the long march. I have seen their amazing spirit of generosity, sincerity of affection, and hope in their eyes, Asad said and added that corrupt people have exploited the underprivileged and enriched themselves.
Umar said to realise the dreams of these people, one needs a country that is independent in foreign policy and is subservient to none and a country where all power flows from it’s citizens. He said a country where individuals are not bigger than institutions and institutions are not bigger than the nation may materialize the dream of the poor.
