MADRID: Hiba Abouk, the ex-wife of Moroccan footballer Achraf Hakimi could not get half of his wealth as the superstar has nothing in his name.
According to Spanish news agency Marca, Spanish actress Hiba Abouk had sought half of Hakimi’s wealth when ending their marriage. She was in shock after coming to know that everything was in her former mother-in-law’s (Hakimi’s mother) name. Furthermore, Achraf Hakimi’s mother is also the beneficiary of the salary of her son.
The Paris Saint-Germain footballer earns over 215,000 US dollars per week, which makes him the sixth highest-paid African footballer. Hiba Abouk and Achraf Hakimi got acquainted in 2018 when the latter played for the German football club, Borussia Dortmund. Hakimi is 12 years younger than his celebrity wife who rose to popularity for her work in the Spanish crime drama ‘El Principe‘.
They tied the knot in a private ceremony three years back, in 2020 before welcoming their first child. Their second child was born two years. Hakimi and Abouk come from similar backgrounds as actress was born to Tunisian immigrants in the Spanish capital Madrid. Furthermore, Hakimi is facing charges of raping a 24-year-old woman. The police launched an investigation despite the alleged victim only wanted to file a complaint about it.
