ISLAMABAD: A special cabinet meeting was held in Islamabad to approve the federal budget 2024-25. Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is presiding over the special meeting. The federal budget will be tabled at the National Assembly after approval of the federal cabinet.
Consultations between the parliamentary political parties are also underway to finalize their strategy for the budget session ahead of the federal budget. The document of the federal budget has also been dispatched to the parliament house, Islamabad.
Former foreign minister and Chairman PPP has also arrived in the parliament to discuss his party plan during the current budget session.
Similarly, PTI backed lawmakers are also holding talks in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa House to finalize their strategy during the budget session. Some sources suggest that they will record their protest during the budget session.
