ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court on Thursday granted time to Imran Khan’s counsel for submitting initial comments in a petition seeking PTI’s chief’s disqualification for hiding information about Tyrian White; his alleged daughter.
The petition was filed by one Sajid Mehmood who sought the disqualification of Imran Khan. Chief Justice Aamer Farooq heard the case. At the outset of the hearing, Khan’s lawyer Salman Akram Raja took the plea that they wanted to submit the reply but the Registrar’s Office raised objections. The office, he added, had stated that Imran Khan had to come in a personal capacity for biometric verification.
Chief Justice Aamer Farooq said there were so many outlets available now for biometric verification. The court asked the counsel to ensure biometrics of his client and submit the receipt at the next hearing.
Salman Akram Raja said his client was no more a member of the parliament as he had tendered his resignation. The court, however, granted further time to the lawyer for submitting comments and instructed him to also provide a copy of the reply to the petitioner.
Tyrian White, the ‘secret’ daughter?
Tyrian White was allegedly born out of wedlock with Sita White, who had taken legal action against the former prime minister in the US. Khan acknowledged his two sons born him from his marriage with Jemima in 1995, but not his daughter.
