Implementation of Warrant Against Imran Khan ‘Invalid, Unlawful’: Supreme Court Written Order

The Supreme Court of Pakistan has stated in its written order that the arrest warrant’s against PTI chief and former prime minister Imran Khan was “unlawful and invalid”.

The order stated that “the execution of said warrant violated the petitioner’s right of access to justice” apart from the court’s “sanctity and safety”.

The apex court also order directed the National Accountability Bureau and the Islamabad police to ensure foolproof security for Imran Khan until he is presented in the Islamabad High Court.

The SC has also allowed Imran Khan to meet up to 10 guests for as long as he wants while he is at the Islamabad Police Lines Guest House.

In the order, the court said that the individual meeting Imran Khan will be subject to a security check.
