ISLAMABAD: The International Monetary Fund (IMF)’s country representative in Pakistan, Ester Perez disclosed on Tuesday that discussions regarding the ninth review have been productive.
Perez stated that the talks have aided in revising the macroeconomic outlook following the floods along with a thorough analysis of exchange rate, monetary fiscal, and energy policies with reference to the combination of the seventh and eighth reviews.
As per the statement, the IMF plan to take the talk such that the rehabilitation and humanitarian needs post floods are adequately kept in mind when implementing any program facet such that both the external and fiscal sustainability via the given financing is not affected.
