ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Monday granted protective bail to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan in seven cases filed against him.

A two-member division bench of the IHC, comprising IHC Chief Justice Aamer Farooq and Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb, heard Imran’s petition.

Earlier today, the ex-premier travelled to the federal capital from his Zaman Park residence in Lahore to seek protective bail in the cases pertaining to alleged vandalism at the Federal Judicial Complex in Islamabad on March 18.

The cases were registered against the PTI chairman at CTD, Golra, and Ramna police stations for alleged vandalism on his arrival at the judicial complex in Islamabad’s G-11 sector.

Imran Khan and 17 other party workers have been booked in two cases under terror sections for attacking the judicial complex on March 18.
