ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Police Inspector General Akbar Nasir Khan visited Faizabad and appreciated the law-enforcers for standing firm to maintain law and order throughout the day.
According to the details, the capital police chief said the best treatment of the injured is going on. He said Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah announced giving new motorcycles to the officials whose bikes were burnt during the PTI workers’ protest against shooting during the PTI march in Wazirabad. He expressed gratitude to the Rangers and the FC.
Earlier in the evening, hundreds of PTI protesters took to the streets against the assassination bid on Imran Khan. The supporters clashed with the Islamabad police at Faizabad, the entry point to the federal capital from the garrison city. The workers tried to enter Islamabad but the police thwarted their attempt using tear gas.
Islamabad Police also arrested 10 protesting PTI activists from Faizabad. A case will be registered against the arrested workers. The arrested workers included Bahar Iqbal, Muhammad Shahbaz, Zabir Khan, Riaz Khan, Zahid Masood, Syedullah, Ashiq, Sohail Ahmed, Muneeb and Mueez.
