ISLAMABAD: Ahsan Zafar Bakhtawari, President Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI), said on Wednesday that the re-election of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan was a manifestation of the Turkish masses’ confidence in his policies.
He said that Erdogan supported Pakistan like a brother in every tough time, and his country was once again seen as a global power due to his sustainable policies.
Bakhtawari expressed these views while talking to the Turkish envoy Dr. Mehmet Pachi in the Turkish Embassy along with the ICCI delegation. They congratulated the envoy on the re-election of Tayyip Erdogan as President.
On the occasion, Ahsan Bakhtawari said that What happens in Ankara, Pakistanis feel in Islamabad. Turkiye has always supported Pakistan in difficult times, and under the leadership of Erdogan, Turkiye will become a global economic power and a stronghold of the Muslim world.
He said that Pakistanis would never forget Turkish services, be it the 2005 earth shake or other natural calamities; the government and the public of Turkiye actively participated in relief services on every occasion.
The ICCI president said that Turkiye’s support for Pakistan at every forum on the Kashmir problem was an indication that ties between the two countries were very deep and sustainable. In recent days, Turkiye boycotted the G20 conference held in Occupied Kashmir, thus once again supporting Pakistan. On the other side, Pakistan’s government and people are always ready to assist Turkiye in every difficulty.
He said that after the establishment of Pakistan, Turkey was among the first nations to recognize it, and even today, both nations stand side by side in tough times.
He added that under the dynamic leadership of President Erdogan, Turkey had made great progress in different fields.
Turkish Ambassador Thanks President ICCI, Delegation
The Ambassador thanked ICCI President and the delegation. He hoped that ties between Pakistan and Turkiye would be further stronger in the future.
He said that the Turkish nation would never forget how the Pakistani government and people supported Turkey in the recent devastating earthquake.
