ICC World Cup Trophy Arrives in Pakistan
The trophy, one of the most desired prizes in the world of cricket, touched down in Lahore on Tuesday and is scheduled to depart on Wednesday. During this visit, the trophy is being embarked on a swift journey, making stops at cricket academies, historical landmarks, and educational institutions, providing cricket lovers with a chance to witness the magnificence of cricket up close.
To allow journalists to capture this historical moment, the ICC World Cup trophy will be on display at the National Cricket Academy’s outdoor Wednesday at 10 a.m. for 40 minutes.
The World Cup 2023 is all set to take place in India in October. Pakistan, presently the number one side in the ODI format, clinched the title in the 1992 World Cup when they defeated England’s side by 22 runs in the final match at the Melbourne Cricket Ground in Australia.
The Trophy began its trip in India, the host of the World Cup. The trophy has travelled to New Zealand, Australia, the USA, Papua New Guinea, Bangladesh, the West Indies, Bahrain, Kuwait, France, England and Italy.
