ISLAMABAD: The International Cricket Council (ICC) Cricket World Cup (WC) Trophy Tour-2023 has been launched on a stratospheric scale, giving fans globally a rare opportunity to interact with the sought-after trophy ahead of the marquee event in the South Asian nation, India.
The Tour was launched spectacularly, with the ICC Cricket World Cup Trophy launched into the stratosphere, 120,000 feet above the earth, before landing at the Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium in Ahmedabad.
This was achieved after the world cup trophy was attached to a bespoke stratospheric balloon, and some stunning shots were captured of the award sitting on the edge of the Earth’s atmosphere from 4k cameras.
The 2023 edition of the ICC World Cricket Trophy Tour will be the biggest by far, giving the fans an opportunity to connect with the coveted piece of silverware in many countries and cities around the globe.
Starting on June 27, the ICC Cricket World Cup Trophy will travel to 18 countries worldwide, including Kuwait, Malaysia, Bahrain, USA, Nigeria, Uganda, Italy, France, the US, and the host country India.
The initial full-scale Trophy Tour since 2019, the 2023 edition, will provide cricket followers around the world with a chance to recreate the celebratory and carnival atmosphere witnessed during the marquee event.
Through innovative activations and events in several different countries, the Cricket World Cup 2023 Trophy should provide a chance for one million followers to have their interactions with the coveted piece of silverware.
The ICC World Cup start on June 27 in India, travels internationally, and then returns to the host nation on September 4.
