ISLAMABAD: Former West Indies cricketer, Ian Bishop, has appreciated batter Muneeba Ali, for becoming the first Pakistani woman cricketer to score a century in the T20I format.
Taking to his Twitter handle on Wednesday, the former fast bowler said:
Muneeba Ali’s century guided Pakistan to a 70-run victory over Ireland for their first win of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2023.

She became the first Pakistani woman to smash a hundred in a T20I to propel her side to 165 for five. The wicketkeeper batter played a 102 run-knock while facing 68 balls to help her side reach 165-5 in 20 overs.
She now has become the highest individual score for Pakistan Women’s Cricket in T20 internationals. Her knock is also the highest individual score for any batter in this World Cup.
Muneeba Ali was only the sixth woman in the world to score a century in T20 World Cup history.
