SRINAGAR: All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) has appraised Pakistan’s unwavering support extended to the Kashmiris on its Independence Day. This solidarity has breathed new life into the hearts of the Kashmiri population of India illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, who are grappling with a perilous situation.

According to the Kashmir media service, Ghulam Ahmad Gulzar, the Vice Chairman of APHC, conveyed in a statement from Srinagar, “Kashmiris are drawing strength and inspiration from the resolute backing offered by the President, the Prime Minister, and the Army Chief of Pakistan, reaffirming their commitment to the right to self-determination.” He emphasized that this unity of spirit underscores the profound bond between Pakistan and the Kashmiris.

Kashmiris’ Struggle for Right to Self-Determination

Gulzar highlighted that the core aspiration of the Kashmiri movement remains the liberation from Indian subjugation and the incorporation of the region into Pakistan. He noted that the founder of Pakistan referred to Kashmir as its lifeblood, and the people of Kashmir share the conviction that Pakistan is incomplete without Kashmir. He further emphasized that in the face of the present predicament, where the Modi-led Hindutva regime has encircled Kashmiris with a massive military presence, it is imperative to halt India’s ruthless assault on the region. He cautioned against the RSS regime’s deployment of brutal tactics to impose the Hindutva ideology on Kashmiris. Global organizations such as Genocide Watch have sounded the alarm about potential mass killings and systematic genocide in Kashmir.

He expressed hope that Pakistan will accelerate its diplomatic initiatives to aware the international community about the impending catastrophe in occupied Kashmir. He appealed to the world to break its silence and intervene to protect humanity, which stands on the brink of disaster in the occupied territory.
