ISLAMABAD: In wake of the threat to the integrity and identity of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) and its people, Hurriyat leaders have called for a united effort to sort the resolution of Kashmir dispute as per United Nations (UN) resolutions.

According to Kashmir Media Service, prominent leaders such as Ghulam Muhammad Khan Sopori, Farooq Ahmed Tawheedi and Narender Singh Khalsa emphasized the resolution of the Kashmir issue to end the Indian violence in the region.

They further said that the 05 August 2019 decision was an unlawful move and an assault on Jammu and Kashmir’s Muslim identity, adding that every aspect of life for Kashmiri Muslims is under attack by the Hindutva BJP regime.

They said that the BJP-RSS regime is systematically creating conditions conducive to settler colonialism in IIOJK, drawing parallels on the Israeli pattern in occupied Palestine.

The leaders urged the United Nations (UN) to take notice of India’s nefarious plans in Kashmir and resolve the dispute as per UN Resolutions and international laws. —APP
