SRINAGAR: The All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) has warned about the worsening plight of Kashmiri political leaders and youth imprisoned in Indian jails, demanding their immediate and unconditional release.
In a critical statement reported by Kashmir Media Service, APHC Spokesman Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas condemned the Indian government’s ongoing crackdown on Kashmiri voices.
He said that the use of excessive force will not undermine the Kashmiris’ steadfast commitment to self-determination.
Minhas highlighted that while the Hurriyat Conference is dedicated to achieving a peaceful resolution to the Kashmir conflict, the Indian government’s increasing militarization and suppression of political dissent have pushed the region toward disaster.
The APHC has urgently called on the United Nations to intervene and facilitate the release of all unlawfully detained Kashmiris. It has also urged the international community to hold India accountable for its severe human rights violations in the occupied territory, stressing that global indifference to India’s actions in Kashmir is no longer acceptable.
